1940s-50s EXHIBIT BASEBALL CARDS

35 Exhibit baseball cards, each 3 3/8 x5 3/8", from the late '40s to the early '50s. Best described as 'well loved', nearly all of these cards in PR to GD condition. Ironically, the card in the best condition ostensibly would be Joe DiMaggio's salutation card ('Cordially, Joe DiMaggio') except that the back has been defaced in pencil. Condition problems include rounded corners, bending, creases, etc. Group does include many Hall-of-Famers: DiMaggio, Ted Williams ('Sincerely Yours'), Hank Greenberg ('Truly Yours'), Enos Slaughter, Warren Spahn, George Kell, Lou Boudreau, Ralph Kiner, Luke Appling, Bob Lemon, Pee Wee Reese, Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Stan Musial and Richie Ashburn. Other cards here include team cards of the '49 Yankees, '49 Dodgers and '50 Phillies, as well as other star players of the time like Don Newcombe, Marty Marion, Stuffy Stirnweiss and Bobby Doerr. Inspection highly suggested. Certainly an interesting bunch of cards.
