One of the great sluggers of his era, Hank Greenberg hit 58 homers in 1938, the most between Babe Ruth's 60 in '27 and Roger Maris' 61 in '61. Widely considered the first Jewish sports superstar, Greenberg was a five-time All-Star and may have been become of the greatest hitters period had his career not been interrupted by his distinguished military service in World War II. Greenberg was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1956; he has hand-signed in black ink the back of this postcard, his official HOF Plaque Postcard. A nice keepsake for a great player and great man. (2007 JSA COA)
