A trend in recent years is for actual authentic uniform pieces or other memorabilia to be embedded in limited edition baseball cards. This lot contains four of these cards plus a couple other consignment remainders: a Leaf Limited edition (#36 of 50) Roger Maris piece of game-worn jersey (when he played for the Kansas City A's) along with a piece of a game-used bat; an Upper Deck card with a swatch of a Cal Ripken Jr. game-used uniform; a card with pieces of two Red Sox legends' jerseys, Carl Yastrzemski and Carlton Fisk (#50 of 100); and a more unusual piece from Upper Deck, a chunk of a Michael Jordan game-used bat from when he played minor league baseball. Also included in this lot: a hand-signed 'Topps 206' authentic autograph card of Mariner slugger Richie Sexson; a limited edition (#29 of 40) Upper Deck Hockey card of Red Wings' captain Steve Yzerman; and one unopened pack of Fleer 'Hot Prospects' cards. The cards themselves were created within the last decade. An interesting and unusual selection of sports items.
