This card set was the first to set the standard size of 2½ by 3%1/2% inches and had a simple uncluttered photograph on the front. The selected 29 players in this group include the following 17 HOFers: Luis Aparicio (#7, VGEX+), Richie Ashburn (#70, VG), Ernie Banks (#55, VGEX), Yogi Berra (#2, VGEX+), Roberto Clemente (#76, VG+), Whitey Ford (#25, EX), Nellie Fox (#38, VG+), Al Kaline (#125, EX+), George Kell (#230, EX), Bob Lemon (#120, EX+), Eddie Mathews (#250, VGEX+), Bill Mazeroski (#24, VG+), Robin Roberts (#15, GD-VG), Early Wynn (#40, VGEX), Enos Slaughter (#215, VGEX+), Duke Snider (#170, VGEX+), and Warren Spahn (#90, VGEX). Other cards include the following stars: Ted Kluszewski, Gil Hodges, Rocky (Rocco) Colavito, Bobby Richardson, Carl Erskine, Whitey Herzog, Tony Kubek, Billy Martin, Don Newcombe and Minnie Minoso. The New York Yankees team card as well as the 'Dodgers Sluggers' card are part of this lot. All of these remaining cards range from VG to VGEX condition. All ratings approximate.
