(CV$22000) Outstanding collection of over 300 T-206 White Border tobacco cards. Many HOFers including: Cy Young, Mordecai 'Three Finger' Brown, Chief Bender, Frank Chance, Fred Clarke, Eddie Collins, George Davis (x2), Addie Joss, Joe Kelley, Rube Waddell, Vic Willis, Jimmy Collins (w/ minor-league Minnesota team), Ed Delahanty (x2, 1 w/ minor-league Louisville team) and Stan Coveleski. Other star cards of the time period: Fred Merkle, Gabby Street, 'Cactus' Gavvy Cravath, Ed Konetchy (x2), Sherry Magee, Deacon Phillippe, Hal Chase, Eddie Cicotte (banned after 1919 World Series Black Sox scandal) and Chick Gandil (ringleader of Black Sox scandal, also banned). The condition of the cards range from PR to VG at best, with mostly rounded corners and many wrinkles and creases. Inspection suggested. BONUS: a handful of miscellaneous sports tobacco cards including a Mecca Cigarettes card of the great boxer Jack Johnson. A spectacular hoard of vintage cards, certainly worth a look.
