The man who officially broke the baseball color barrier, Jackie Robinson will always be considered one of the most important baseball players. Of course he was also one of the better players of his time. Playing his entire MLB career with the Brooklyn Dodgers, he received Rookie of the Year honors in 1947, was Most Valuable Player in 1949, and finished in the top 20 in MVP voting eight of his ten major league years. A lifetime .311 hitter, Robinson was a powderkeg for the Dodger offense with base-stealing (which was less common during this time) and clutch hitting. This hand-signed baseball has yellowed considerably with age, but Jackie's signature in blue ink shines through. Though very faint, one can tell the ball is ONL (Frick). This ball serves as a great memento for one of the all-time greats in baseball history. (2007 JSA COA)
