This Detroit Tigers team made a run for the pennant in 1950, only to lose to the great Yankees machine by three games in the standings. This team was stacked with talent and a few future Hall-of-Famers, including George Kell, pitcher Hal Newhouser, and Rick Ferrell, the former Catcher who was a Tigers coach at the time. All three have hand-signed this yellowed baseball, with Ferrell and Newhouser signing on the sweet spot. Other stars on this baseball include: Vic Wertz, Hoot Evers, Dizzy Trout and Virgil Trucks.
