The last hurrah for the Yankees mega-dynasty was crushed by the first of the great Cardinals' teams of the 1960s. Managed by Johnny Keane (who would, ironically, man the helm of the Yankees the following season), the Cardinals roster at the time was filled with great young players like future HOFers Bob Gibson and Lou Brock, rounded out by Cardinal mainstays like Ken Boyer, Mike Shannon, Tim McCarver, Dick Groat, Julian Javier, Curt Flood, Bob Uecker, Bill White and Dal Maxvill. All have hand-signed this baseball, with Keane and full-time coach Red Schoendienst signatures on the sweet spot. This ball is an excellent memento commemorating one of the greatest modern St. Louis Cardinals teams. (2007 GAI COA)
