1966 BUSCH STADIUM 1st NIGHTER CERTIFICATE

A interesting artifact, this 8½"x11" certificate commemorates those individuals who attended the very first game at the old Busch Stadium on May 12th, 1966. Stamped signatures of then President August A. Busch Jr, General Manager Bob Hanson and Manager Red Schoendienst are listed at the bottom along with the 'Great Seal of the St. Louis National Baseball Club'. This certificate is framed and personalized to a 'David Edward Powell'. Has yellowed somewhat with time. As a bonus, the final game certificate, not personalized, is also included; this was given out to fans on October 2nd, 2005. Stamped signatures of President Mark Lamping, G.M. Walt Jocketty and Manager Tony LaRussa are found at the bottom. An interesting pair of documents, bookending a lively era for the Cardinals franchise.
