(CV$1200) The last time the Chicago Cubs reached the World Series was against Detroit in 1945, baseball's longest dry spell. For longtime Cubbie or Tiger fans, here are the two official press pins from the 1945 series. The WWII-era big 'V' for Victory is part of the Cub's pin design, while the Tigers have a sharp Tiger's head relief emblazoned upon the pin's diamond shape. Both pins in very good condition with unknown designers. Outstanding eye-appeal. A nice pair!
