Spectacular 48" World Boxing Association World Championship belt, weighing about 9lbs, hand signed by Muhammad Ali in gold pen. Belt made of black leather with white trim, and is gold plated with center medallions handpainted. No inscription on left or right medallion. Center is outlined with ruby and diamond stones and inscription reads 'World Boxing Association Champion'. Far left edge medallion reads 'Asociacion Mundial De Boxeo'. Interior of belt has thick fur for wearing comfort. Please note that although Ali was a W.B.A. champion, this is not actually the belt awarded to him on fight night. Newly crowned champions must pay for their belts and there are rules, depending on weight class, for whether or not they get to keep their personalized belt after they are defeated. Very rare signed belt for the boxing aficionado. (GAI COA #GV42662)
