From the 'Endangered Species' theme group this impressive masterpiece is still housed in the heavy cardboard box in which it was shipped from Switzerland to the United States in the early 1980s. A huge, glittering animal that weighs 8 lbs 9oz and is 240mm (9½") long! This is one of the giant series, issued by the European market included in the 'Signed Collection' (signature on left edge of 'shell'). Minute chip at tip of left front foot would be unlikely to be seen unless pointed out. A rare turtle designed by Max Schreck (#7632 240 000/010 101) (Warner's $7500)
