Elephant ivory and this items was imported into the United States legally. As far as gators go, this is probably one of the best and most unique that we have offered. The gator is carved full length on the top of the ivory crutch handle. Silver filigree work, which is hand done, is overlaid throughout the handle. It has a patent date of January 5th 1886 inscribed above the silver collar. The cane has a very rich oak shaft and a large bi-metal ferrule-H. 2 ½" x 4 ½", O.L. 36 5/8"-$1,500-$2,000
