Rare Historical Presentation Double System Cane-Mid 19th Century-This stick has a push-up handle and also the shaft is a very unique bamboo fishing pole with a cork and brass ferrule. The first presentation on the handle is "Sumida Japanese to Commodore M. C. Perry, born 1794 died 1858, February 21st 1855". The handle is also marked patent April 5th 37. A second presentation which appears on the upper collar of the cane is "Robert J. Veil to Judge Conley 1916". The handle is an early silver plated brass and both systems work on this cane-H. 4" x 1 ½", O.L. 36 5/8"-$2000-$3000
