Original hand carved and hand painted hope chest by Catherine Norman-Donovan & Spencer Donovan entitled “Saoirse” Saoirse, pronounced ‘Soar-sha’ is gaelic for freedom. Catherine Norman-Donovan, a celebrated artist from Nova Scotia, Canada finds inspiration from her East Coast surroundings and Atlantic coastline. She notes that the title of this hope chest speaks volumes to the plight of the great whale and that of these young children we are working to help.
