Daguerreotype Portraits, Living and Dead, lot of 3, of the same man at different times in his adult life. The living portraits (daguerreotype, ruby ambrotype) show a healthy man with tinted cheeks probably in his twenties and thirties. The post-mortem image (ruby ambrotype) depicts the same man, now gaunt, laid out in full view on a white-sheeted bed with his arm crossed on his stomach. All images are in pressed paper cases.
