CHIPPENDALE TALL CASE CLOCK. Mahogany with old ref

CHIPPENDALE TALL CASE CLOCK. Mahogany with old refinishing. Oak secondary wood. Engraved signature on the face "JN. Evans, Hertford". Bracket feet and a shaped apron with stepped base. Raised molding on the lower case and an arched door with overlapping edge. The hood has fluted pilasters with brass pin stop fluting and a raised center arch. Two old brass finials (top finial missing). Brass works with finely engraved face, applied gilt scrolling, minute hand and calendar dial. Lower part of the base is replaced. Restorations. Includes pendulum, no weights. 95"h.
