Title: Antique red hand printing press Condition/Details: This antique printing press was manufactured in the 19th century and may be used for a variety of printing tasks, including bookmaking and fine art printmaking. Made of cast iron, this small, sturdy tabletop design is favored by many printmakers as it occupies a small footprint (approx. 16"x12") and can be easily included in a small studio. The press features a wheel-shaped hand crank that lowers the impressing plate onto the bottom surface at whatever pressure the printer desires. The press is handsomely finished in early, possibly original, red paint. The crank and all the other components of the press are fully functional; the wheel turns easily and the two metal surfaces make full contact with each other. The surface is well worn, with some superficial corrosion, and the press is entirely structurally sound, with no fractures or other damage. This press accepts plate and paper sizes up to 13"x10". The press stands twelve inches high and shipping within the lower 48 states will be $75.00.
