Condition/Details: Bound in black and gilt embossed tan cloth, this volume is a rare first edition copy of General Custer's famous accounts of his personal experiences with the American Indians. Custer's work was first serialized in Galaxy, and this edition represents the first instance of these writings appearing in book form. The work is illustrated with several illustrations of scenes and people figuring in the accounts, as well as a portrait of the General himself with a facsimile signature. The volume shows some external wear, with some rubbing and buckling of the boards and pages; the pages are intact and clear with scattered age and water toning.
