Condition/Details: Bound in elephant-gray illustrated cloth boards, this very rare antique volume discusses the "practical details of cavalry service...for the use of officers and non-commissioned officers of cavalry". The work is illustrated with many photographs and drawings of horses and riding accoutrements. The volume shows some external wear, with the signatures detached from the spine, and is otherwise loosely bound together with clear pages. The endpapers are stamped "Battery 'A' 1st Field Artilery, N. G. N. Y. Syracuse, N. Y.". The book measures approximately 5.5" x 8" and contains 538 pages.
