Condition/Details: Bound in crimson cloth with bright gilt embossing, this antique set is a scarce compendium of historical discussions of typography written by Stanley Morison, best known as the designer of the Times Roman typeface. The work is illustrated with many typographical facsimiles and illustrations of manuscript pages. The volumes show very light external wear, and are solidly bound with clean pages and contained in their original crimson cloth slipcase. The books measure approximately 8.5" x 12".
