fisherman and family on a rocky beach, titled on old label verso "The Frenchman's Family", unsigned, oil on panel, British School, 19th century, 12 x 9-3/4 in.; late 19th/early 20th century gilt wood and composition frame. Panel warped, crackle, areas of overcleaning, flaking, burnt area lower left, retouch throughout including large portion of sky, her neck and chin, affecting 20 percent of surface. Provenance: Works of art Deaccessioned by the Columbia Museum of Art, Columbia, South Carolina, Proceeds to benefit the Acquisitions Fund.
