"The Fortune Teller", young woman and cavalier seated at a rug and lace strewn table, bears signature lower right "Ladislau Von Czachorski", follower of Ladislaus Von Czachorski, Polish, 1850-1911, oil on canvas, 24 x 36-1/4 in.; gilt wood and composition French style frame. Lined with wax and linen, crackle, retouch throughout including all hands, his face and lower extremities, fireplace, at signature, bottom edge, approximately 10 percent of surface affected; frame with losses to composition, abrasions. Provenance: Private Collection.
