one with figure of youth cutting thorny rose with sickle, other with crying cupid placing butterfly into urn, scattered gold flecks in dark blue ground, gilt rims and base, gold Mintons mark and gilt "16.1.95", both signed "L Solon" (Louis Solon 1835-1913) at lower right, 6 in. Extensive losses to gilt decoration, otherwise good condition. Provenance: Private Collection, Atlanta, Georgia.
