one with male cupid holding heart and knife, verso with cut heart, signed "L Solon" (Louis Marc Emanuel Solon, 1835-1913), other with her holding heart with flame, on dark chocolate brown ground, extensive gilt highlights, signed at base of one handle, each 10-1/2 in., gold printed Mintons mark on each. Excellent condition, no damage or repairs found. Provenance: Private Collection, Atlanta, Georgia.
