beech and other mixed wood frame, sage and salmon striped upholstery, British, circa 1800, 36-1/4 x 89-3/4 x 29-3/4 in. Frame refinished and with scattered pest damage, scattered repairs at joints, front legs splayed and somewhat fragile, probably original casters, not examined under upholstery. Provenance: Brought to United States shortly after World War I; given to consignor's family by Mrs. Gwen Trotheroe of Rustburg, Virginia; further provenance available to purchaser.
