(British, 1843-1910), landscape with woman, child and dog crossing a river, titled on frame plate "Crossing the River", signed lower right "Geo. Turner/83", oil on canvas, 20-1/4 x 30 in.; original gilt wood and composition frame. Original stretcher and tacking edge, two tears (1-1/2 in. and 2 in.), retouch around tear at left, grime, flaking, crackle, cupping, cleavage, canvas loose, stretcher marks; frame with losses, resurfaced. Provenance: Private Collection, Canton, North Carolina.
