Flemish, born circa 1605-1638, peasant woman with pipe, Dutch School, late 17th/early 18th century, Columbia Museum of Art label verso, late 17th/early 18th century, 18-7/8 x 13-3/8 in.; 20th century chip-carved wood frame. Crackle, lined with wax and line, several periods of restoration with retouch throughout affecting 80 percent of surface; frame with abrasions. Provenance: Works of art Deaccessioned by the Columbia Museum of Art, Columbia, South Carolina, Proceeds to benefit the Acquisitions Fund.
