portrait of a young woman, unsigned, oil on canvas, 18th century, oval 29-1/2 x 24 in.; modern gilt wood and composition oval frame. Restretched on newer stretcher, stretcher marks, crackle, two periods of restorations with retouch on pupils, lower right, in background, décolleté, face, neck, approximately 40 percent of surface affected, inscriptions "Bott" and sealing wax verso stretcher. Provenance: Collection of a Gentleman, Memphis, Tennessee.
