(British/American, born 1901), "Treading Grapes", Edition 40/60, 1928, signed lower right in pencil "Clare Leighton", wood engraving on thin paper, image 7-3/8 x 8-7/8 in., page 10-3/8 x 11-1/2 in.; modern wood frame with silk mat and museum glass; with approval receipt from Childs Gallery. Hinged at top at two points, very light toning, four points of foxing in lower right margin, pencil inscription at bottom right corner "CCC10570". Provenance: Private Collection, Asheville, North Carolina.
