c. 1815 Federal, mid-Atlantic, cherry with pine secondary, the face handpainted with gilt rosettes to the spandrels, and a sailing ship moon dial and with a paper label to the back reading "Curtis Manufactory for Patton & Jones, Philadelphia". The clock has a brass eight day movement, a hood with a molded broken scroll pediment with rosette terminations, three turned wood finials on reeded plinths, a tombstone glass door flanked by slender turned and block corner columns and resting on a molded support. The waist is narrowed with a molded top, a molded edge to the shaped top door, with a brass escutcheon and key. The base has a molded top, cockbead molding, a scalloped apron and splay feet. 95" high, 21" wide, 10 1/2" deep.
