ABT: Lionel #1666 Steam & 2466WX Whistle/ OBs+

Paul V. Ambrose and Drew J. Bauer present: These are the #1666 Black Diecast Steam Engine and the #2466WX Black Whistle Tender that Lionel made circa 1946. Scarce. Later version with silver rubber-stamped lettering. Note that one drive-rod and the valve-guide have been removed or possibly never installed from both sides; be advised that the sintered-iron valve-guide on the last run was very fragile and poorly installed, and has usually disintegrated with age. Our Opinion is that they are generally in Like New Minus Condition, very clean. The Original SF-1 Engine Box is in (8+) Condition, while the Tender SF-1 Box is also in (8+) Condition but is missing a tuck-in flap. Both Boxes have their Inserts. All Original in our Opinion.
