RARE MEMO FROM CAP IVES, a military outpost on Turtle Creek, four miles north of Camp Verde. This camp opened October 2, 1859 and closed January 28, 1861, and moved to Camp Verde in preparation of Confederate occupation. Memo dated, San Antonio, January 4, 1860, to Menger from Edward Gallagher about the return of nine empty beer kegs.
