French style walnut writing desk by Edward Romano Co., Inc., New York City & Paris. 30.5"h.x54"w.x29"d.

Chip to lower right skirt/apron, leather top is worn, gouged and scratched, back is finished with raised panels as are the sides, not faux drawer fronts, there is no brass decoration- never had it, I am guessing the age is 1910-1920? Perhaps a bit later? It is nicely made, locks have age- very hard to tell. There are no pull out writing surfaces on the sides. Great carving detail on the legs- nice desk
