French walnut desk, c.1890, with brass mounts and leather top. Desk is finished on the back side with faux drawer fronts and detailing matching front. Also has pull out writing surfaces on each side. 30"h.x58"w.x31"d.
Condition reportLeather top is cracked, many of the brass fittings and several escutcheons are off, but present, and now replaced with gilt paint decoration (see photo of vertical "striping" on base and legs for example), missing one escutcheon, small cracks, dents and scratches as you might expect to see on a piece of this age. Beautiful desk.
