1801 "Prices Current" Letter From a Philadelphia Merchant
December 31, 1801, Autograph Letter From a Philadelphia Merchant together with an integral Printed "Prices Current" Sheet, Choice Very Fine.
This original Autograph Letter is dated on the last day of 1801, where merchant Samuel Coates has written to Moses Brown of Newburyport, Mass. regarding the shipment of goods aboard the Ship "Elizabeth". This lettersheet has on its back side a very nice, fully Printed, 10" x 8", "Philadelphia Prices Current," as integral page, also addressed outer leaf to Moses Brown with very light postal cancellation and "20" Postal rate at the upper right. Scarce, and inclusive of excellent 1801 date historic, fiscal and marketplace information.
