Condition/Details: Bound in maroon cloth with bright gilt embossing, this antique book is a scarce description of dam construction, including masonry, earth, rock-fill and timber structures. The work is illustrated with over 80 plates of technical images, depicting profiles of dams and aqueducts. Several of these plates fold out to several panels. The volume shows mild external wear, and is solidly bound with clean, lightly age toned pages. The book measures approximately 9.25" x 12" and contains 250 text pages.
