Condition/Details: Bound in emerald cloth boards with gilt and black embossing, this volume is a scarce early printing of Carroll's beloved children's book. The work is illustrated through out with in-text art. The volume shows significant external wear, with the spine and boards partially detached and many of the signatures loose; the book is otherwise intact with clear pages with occasional sparse toning and pencil marginalia. There is a period owner's inscription and bookplate as well as a newspaper clipping pasted in.
