1939 Presentation "Pinocchio" Book Signed "Walt Disney"
WALT DISNEY, World-renowned Cartoonist and Movie Producer; Entertainment and Disneyland Theme Park Pioneer.
"Walt Disney's Version of Pinocchio," 1939, Book Signed, "Walt Disney" and animated by Disney Studios, Second Printing, fully inscribed by Walt Disney himself on the top half of the back side of the title page, reading: "To Eddie with best wishes - Walt Disney". The fabulous characteristic signature, "Walt Disney" is absolutely huge, measuring about six inches long and grading a bold "10 out of 10" being so well written, with his flourish below. The book cover and interior has some actual honest wear from use, the front two pages having 1" strips of early archival paper along the inner spine for reinforcement. There is some slight separation to the spine and other minor detractions but the book remains quite colorful, original, attractive and extremely rare having such a magnificent presentation by no less than Walt Disney, himself. Also, accompanied by a pencil drawing of Pinocchio with a partial notation at right, on a sheet of art paper that has been torn off along the bottom third, affecting Pinocchio's legs. Though this item is included, it is figured at no additional amount towards our estimate range. (2 items).
