Scott 120b CONDITION: THIS IS THE ONLY COMPLETELY SOUND AND FAULT FREE EXAMPLE GRADE: FINE CERTIFICATION: 1955 photograph signed on the back by Stanley Ashbrook, 1967 and 2007 PHILATELIC FOUNDATION COMMENTS: Only FOUR unused examples exist. The collector purchased this stamp along with the prior and next lots as a set of three in the Charles A. Schafer auction conducted by Daniel F. Kelleher Co. on Feb. 1, 1974 (sale 518). Before being part of the Schafer collection, this set was part of the Sinclair, Ward, Ferrari, and Hindes collections. This is the second best centered example and the only sound example. The best centered is the ex Ishikawa and Lafayette example, it too has no gum but it has a thin spot. It now resides in a private collection.
