Scott 121b CONDITION: Faint staining mostly on the reverse and a pulled perforation at bottom, but the staining is barely visible and does not detract from this bright and fresh example GRADE: FINE CERTIFICATION: 1955 photograph signed on the back by Stanley Ashbrook, 1967 and 2007 PHILATELIC FOUNDATION COMMENTS: Only SEVEN unused examples exist. The collector purchased this stamp along with the prior two lots as a set of three in the Charles A. Schafer auction conducted by Daniel F. Kelleher Co. on Feb. 1, 1974 (sale 518). Before being part of the Schafer collection, this set was part of the Sinclair, Ward, Ferrari, and Hindes collections. The remaining unused examples of the 30c 1869 Invert are recorded as follows:
