[Engravings]. 5 copper cngravings from the catalogue of the Imperial Palace in Vienna, Austria, ''Prodromus, seu praeambulare lumen reserati portentosae magnificente theatri,'' Wien: Johann Peter van Ghelen, [1735]. 13 1/2 x 9 7/8 in. Includes Plates 5, 16, and 17 + 2 unnumbered plates. Graese VI:476. Portion of the illustrated catalogue of painting and sculpture found in the art gallery of the Imperial Palace in Vienna. Most of the gallery's artwork was collected by Archduke Leopold Wilhelm of Austria (d.1665). As of 1735, ''Promodus'' was the most comprehensive catalog of any gallery's work ever published.

Trimmed almost to plate mark, few tiny tears in margins, some wear at edges, some foxing/toning.
