FATHER, SON, WITH PORTRAIT OF THE EARLIER FAMILY. ¾ plate (6 ¼" x 4 ½") ambrotype in an oval mat. The father, in an extremely fancy vest with long chain gilded, has his arm around his son, also in a snazzy suit. Both have violet-tinted ties. On the table on the right is an earlier portrait of the family, including the mother who may now be deceased. The faces are lightly tinted and the tablecloth is green. This is in the right compartment of a double case, with separated cover, simple design, probably English. [4-]
