Author: Ida Waugh
Publisher: Sunshine
Printing Year: 1890
Condition/Details: Bound in mustard cloth boards with gilt embossing and screenprinted illustrations, this large-scale antique book is a scarce collection of Victorian lithograph illustrations, called "lithoed water-color engravings", of babies' heads. These seventeen illustrations (of the called-for twenty) are accompanied by poems about children ans well as myriad monochrome illustrations on wood by other artists. The volume shows mild external wear, and is bound with clean, lightly age toned pages; a few of the color lithograph portraits are detached (one with a torn margin), and a few appear to have been cropped or originated from another similar publication of a smaller scale. At least three of the originals appear to be lacking. The book measures approximately 11" x 15". Shipping cost (within the U.S.) for this lot will be: $6.50
