9. RICHARD HENRY LEE (1732-1794) American Revolutionary statesman who with Jefferson and Henry was prominent in the defense of colonial rights, Signer of the Declaration of Independence. Rare partly-printed D.S. "Richard Henry Lee", 1p. folio, Fauquier Co., Va., Feb. 28, 1776, an indenture between Lee and one Josephe Neale concerning the demise lease of a tract of Lee's land to Neale for purposes of farming for which Lee is to be annually paid 887 pounds: "...of good sound and merchantable crop, tobacco and Cash...". Lightly-toned folds with just a tiny bit of loss to three or four words of text thereat, else very good with a fine, bold signature, signed on the "right" date! $2,000-3,000
