JOHANN KALB (1721 - 1780) "Baron de Kalb" French general who offered his services to the Continental Congress and served as a major general in the Continental Army, with Washington in Valley Forge, mortally wounded at Camden. Scarce signature "Le Ban. de Kalb" removed from an A.L.S. with five words of closing in his hand in French. Mounted to a larger sheet, some show-through, otherwise very good. $600-800
