43. CAESAR RODNEY (1728 - 1784) American Revolutionary patriot and Signer of the Declaration of Indepenence, a major general of the Delaware militia and later President of Delaware. Scarce A.D.S. "Caesar Rodney", 1p. legal folio, [n.p.], Dec. 12, 1769, a true copy of a 1732 deposition concerning a land boundary dispute which Rodney notes he had filed among his papers. Chip at upper-left affects three words of text, silked on verso, some edge wear, otherwise very good. $800-1,200
