78. BERNARD E. BEE (1824 - 1861) Confederate brigadier general who commanded a brigade at Bull Run and gave Jackson his famous nickname "Stonewall". Mortally wounded, he died the next day, June 22, 1861. Excessively rare partial D.S., 1p. 12mo., Santa Fe, Nov. 30, 1850, a partly-printed receipt for over five cords of wood received by the quartermaster, boldly signed adding rank as Adjutant, 3rd Infantry. Trimmed closely at top, very boldly signed and very good.$2,000-3,000
