105. THOMAS C. HINDMAN (1828-1868) Confederate major general who served at Chickamauga, Chattanooga, and Kennesaw Mountain were an eye wound disquailfied him from further active service. He was murdered during the Reconstruction period in Arkansas. Rare war-date D.S. signed twice "T.C. Hindman Maj. Gen", 1p. 4to., Atlanta, Oct. 24, 1863, a requisition for three cords of wood, signed twice at conclusion. Some wrinkling and soiling, signatures just the slightest bit light. $800-1,000
