SHELBY (1830 - 1897) Confederate cavalry brigadier general who fought at Prairie Grove, Pea Ridge; and was on numerous raids with Quantrill and Price in the Trans-Missisippi Department. Partly-printed D.S. 1p. 12mo., Butler, Mo., Nov. 17, 1891, a sight draft in the amount of $250.00, boldly signed at conclusion, and by two family members, Bettie and Benjamin Shelby, as well. Very good. $300-400
